Choose a length
The abdomen is the area most massages politely avoid, and yet it is where stress, sedentary work and irregular meals show up first in most people. This treatment works on two things at once: how the abdominal wall looks, and how the digestion underneath it behaves.
Your therapist follows the path of the large intestine with slow, deeper circular strokes that support peristalsis and help release trapped gas. Then comes the modelling part: kneading and skin rolling over the hips and lower abdomen to mobilise the subcutaneous layer and improve microcirculation where fat settles most readily. It finishes with releasing the diaphragm, because a tight diaphragm affects both your breathing and the pressure inside the abdomen.
Come at least two hours after eating, and ideally with an empty bladder. Some clients find the treatment unexpectedly intense, so keep telling us how the pressure feels. As a course, it works best combined with lymphatic drainage or the Slim & Glow apparatus treatment, which cover the whole lower body.

Can I come during my period? In the first days abdominal massage tends to be uncomfortable, so it is better to reschedule. Later in the cycle it is usually fine: what matters most is how you feel.
Do I need an empty stomach? You do not need to fast, but come at least two hours after eating. Working the abdominal wall on a full stomach is unpleasant and harder to tolerate.
Is it suitable after childbirth? Not before six weeks postpartum, and after a caesarean only with medical clearance. With abdominal separation we work more gently and suggest adding physiotherapy.
