We only think about our feet once they hurt. They carry the entire weight of the body, cover thousands of steps a day on Prague cobbles, and spend most of that time inside a shoe slightly narrower than they would like. Foot and leg massage is one of the few treatments where clients feel the relief immediately, and are often surprised by how much the rest of the body changes with it.
Reflexology holds that specific zones on the sole correspond to organs and body parts. Whatever you make of that idea, the physical effect is not in doubt: the sole carries an unusual density of nerve endings, and stimulating them releases tension a long way from the feet themselves. Your therapist works the arch, the heel, the toes, then the ankle, calf and Achilles tendon: the whole chain that determines how you stand.
We start with a warm foot bath or hot towels to soften and warm the tissue. Then comes thumb work through the arch and heel, attention to each toe, mobilisation of the ankle, and finally the calf, always stroked toward the heart. Pressure is set by how sensitive you are. Some soles are extremely ticklish, others take a great deal. At the end your feet rest for a few minutes and we bring tea.

What if my feet are very ticklish? Not a problem. Your therapist starts with firmer, broad pressure that the nerve endings do not read as tickling, and only adds lighter work later. Just tell her at the start.
Will it help with swollen ankles? Yes, for ordinary evening swelling from walking and standing. If the swelling persists, affects one leg only, or is painful, see a doctor first: it may be a vein problem.
Can I come straight after a run? Certainly, just give yourself half an hour to cool down. After a long effort we work more gently and focus on the calves and Achilles tendon.

A 500 CZK deposit confirms your slot and is deducted from the price of the treatment. Cancel more than 48 hours ahead and we refund it in full.
